What projects are carried out at Wiems Lab?

The spectrum of topics studied at Wiems Lab is very broad, although we could simplify the lines of research into three well-defined areas.

Beauty

We develop scientific evidence on aesthetic aspects, such as the behavior of EMS for weight loss, toning, reducing cellulite, or anti-aging factors such as collagen production.

Health

We study the behavior of electrostimulation in profiles with pathologies such as multiple sclerosis, thyroiditis, fibromyalgia, or type II diabetes.

Fitness

We dedicate the study of whole-body electrostimulation in healthy profiles, both with and without sporting behaviors; that is, in sedentary and active individuals.

Wiems Lab, more than just a lab

Wiems Lab is a specialized laboratory that analyzes the impact of muscular electrostimulation on people’s health. Its headquarters are located at the iMuds Research Center, at the University of Granada.

In this project, the University and the Company work hand in hand to apply the highest quality standards in both the research processes and the dissemination of the obtained information.

Our objective is to understand how electrostimulation can help people improve their quality of life and identify which strategies can be applied in each case. In this way, we assist both healthcare professionals and their clients in implementing the best interventions, selected after applying the strictest methods of analysis.

Aesthetic electrostimulation based on scientific evidence

At Wiems Lab we study the impact and parameters of Onnafit Aesthetic Electrostimulation and use this information to develop our product, programs and EMS system.
